Glenfield man admits to meth-making last fall
Damion R. Dennee, 21, of 5651 Greig Road, Glenfield, pleaded guilty to third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, also satisfying a charge of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Sentencing was set for June 23. Mr. Dennee was accused of making meth Oct. 7 in the town of Greig.

2 killed in Adirondack crash
Two Oneida County men were killed early Saturday when the car they were riding in left an Adirondack highway, went down an embankment and hit a tree, State Police said. The one-car crash occurred about 6 a.m. on Route 28, just north of the McKeever Bridge, in the town of Webb, Herkimer County.

Picente Discusses Shared Services Among Cities, Towns, Villages

Two men arraigned in Lewis County Court on drug charges
Michael Gerace, 34, of 613 Post St., Boonville, was arraigned on charges of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful disposal of meth lab material stemming from an alleged incident Feb. 18 in the town of Leyden. Also, Matthew Furst, 34, of 118 South Pleasant St., Watertown, was arraigned on charges of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and speeding stemming from a June 6 traffic stop in the town of Diana.
Boonville teen charged after town of Lewis crash
A Boonville teen is facing a number of charges after allegedly leaving an accident scene at 2:48 a.m. Sunday on Route 26 in the town of Lewis. Lewis County sheriff's deputies said Parker D. Kohl, 18, failed to negotiate a curve, causing his vehicle to leave the road and overturn, coming to rest partially in the east branch of the Mohawk River.
Boonville Man Killed in Apparent Logging Accident in Vienna
The Oneida County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a Boonville man in the Town of Vienna. Deputies responded to the scene of an apparent logging accident on Elpis Road on Thursday after a report of an unresponsive male.
Boonville residents treated for minor injuries after hitting deer
Two Boonville residents suffered minor injuries after their vehicle hit a deer at 6:50 p.m. Thursday on Route 46 in the town of Boonville. Oneida County sheriff's deputies said Jennifer Rothrock, 47, was driving south in a 2016 Subaru when she was unable to avoid a deer, causing the vehicle's airbags to deploy.
Boonville sex offender accused of failing to register cellphone
Lewis County sheriff's deputies on Thursday charged Joseph G. Hutchins, 29, of 7120 Kerwin Road, Boonville, with a sex offender registry violation. Deputies said Mr. Hutchins, a Level 2 sex offender, failed to register a cellphone and utilized it to access the internet, violating a special condition mandating that he register any internet accounts or devices.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating a missing town of Remsen man who didn't show up for work Tuesday morning in the town of Boonville. Department officials said Zachary P. Stevens left his residence for work at about 9:20 a.m. but has not been seen or heard from since.
Weather cooperates for Winterfest success in Carthage

Boonville man accused of sex offender registry violation
Lewis County sheriff's deputies said Timothy R. Witzigman Jr., 32, Cummings Road, listed as a Level 1 sex offender, failed to respond to an annual verification as required and had an unregistered Facebook account. Deputies said he was located at a residence on Muha Road in the town of Lewis and is to answer the charge in Lewis Town Court.

Kimberly R. Pfengler, 23, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief stemming from a complaint lodged Monday. She is to answer the charge in West Turin Town Court.
Deputies: Driver and car involved in Oneida County hit-and-run found
The driver and car who hit a horse and drove away in Oneida County was found, according to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office. David Longway, 61, of Boonville, was issued four traffic tickets after hitting the horse and leaving the scene of the accident, deputies said.
